TBAWP Goes to Washington

TBAWP Advocacy Committee at the NWP Spring Meeting

The National Writing Project held it’s annual Spring Meeting in Washington, D.C. this March. TBAWP’s Advocacy Committee met with Senators and Representatives from Florida to both educate them about NWP and TBAWP as well as ask for their support regarding the continuation of funding for grant programs NWP depends on in order to finance local sites.

During the meeting, Advocacy Committee members met with five Florida Representatives. Members also networked with other NWP sites and experienced workshop sessions presented by NWP site leaders.
