Day 2 at W.A.T.E.R. World Building: A Culture of Writing

We had another productive day at WATER: World Building today. Our quickwrite activity today asked students to share about their personal culture to get to know each other better. Afterwards, students spent time discussing each other’s ideas and gave productive feedback to continue the creative process. They also explored the culture of their world and gave it more depth in their writing activities. We finished out the day with some more Kahoot and an introduction to Trello, an online platform that assists students in organizing ideas for projects. Your student now has access to their Trello account indefinitely, and can continue to work on their projects after camp is over.
Quote of the Day: “Write a lot. Write more. Write until your heart’s content.” – Ricardo
Lesson Learned: Writing about culture helps one imagine their world more vividly.
