I.C.E. SONGwriters

Week one is a…RAP! Literally. Poetry has a beat–Ta tum Ta tum Ta TUM Ta TUM. That beat inspires music, and today we felt the beat as Miss Amy had us rappin, and clappin’ and writin’. Campers composed original tunes and performed for us! Others created poetry and kept it more private. The line break of the poem of camp is sadly here, however. We are at the midpoint on this creative journey. Campers have their anthology pieces nearly completed and are moving into final form. We still have lots of fun stuff planned next week: fractured fairytales and super heroes to name a few!

Lesson Learned: Every song has a beat…and so does every poem.
Quote of the Day: “I’m not a detail; I’m a story.”
