Day 9 was divine!
We had a little more of a relaxing day today. We finalized our anthology pieces and our sharing pieces for celebration today. We also analyzed movie clips to see how writers grab the audience’s attention through film. We talked about how our stories could translate to film.
We took a Haiku hike around the property. We stopped and looked at the peacocks, looked at the wildlife from the bridge and even paused to take in the beauty of the lake while we wrote.
During lunch some of us finished our pieces, we played volleyball and basketball and some of us just were silly with our friends. We have made some really great friends this week and have definitely bonded and have lots of inside jokes! Lots of laughs and giggles were heard throughout camp today.
We spent the afternoon rehearsing for tomorrow’s celebration and our pieces sound really good! Don’t forget tomorrow’s celebration will begin promptly at 1pm in the Grand Room which is on the other side of the camp. Make sure you park on the main campus.
Reminder: Wear camp shirts tomorrow
Mark your calendar for November 3 at USF where writers will receive their anthologies which are being officially published!
